EMS Loyalist Wiki

EMS Moderate Wiki

EMS Radical Wiki

Consider using information about the Revolution provided by your Champlain College partners as you build your argument. Each college student created a wiki website to gather general information about the American Revolution with this project in mind. As you work on building your specific perspective, your Champlain partners will suggest more focused resources, which they will add to your group wikis.

How might I use this wiki?

Discussion Forum:
  • Plan strategy: You can communicate with loyalists in other classes and on other teams. This might involve planning meetings (outside of class-the lunch room perhaps) and creating propaganda materials.
  • Ask for help: All students will be supported by students from Champlain College. They will act as resources. If you have questions about issues, strategies or need assistance finding information, the "Discussion Forum" is a great place to ask.
  • Discuss Issues: All loyalists have the same mission-convince moderates that they should remain loyal to the King and vote "no" on the issue of independence. Given this, you should be asking questions and sharing information with one another. Each of you should become experts. Use one another in your effort to do so.
Invites:
  • You may decide that you want to share information on this site with moderates. Obviously this would only be the case if you feel that it might help persuade them to join your side. Remember, there is no guarantee that an invite will accomplish this. You should carefully consider this when deciding whether or not to invite "outsiders" to your wiki.
Photo Gallery:
  • Should you decide to invite "outsiders", you may decide to use the "photo gallery" as a way to highlight the appalling behavior of your radical counterparts. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words. Will the moderates support the radicals if they are able to see how outrageous their behavior actually is?
To-Dos:
  • The faction that is the best organized will ultimately win this simulation. Coming up with a unified strategy can only help in your effort to achieve victory.
Resources:
  • Your Loyalist partners at Champlain College did some searching for materials that might help you as you plan your strategy. Click here to access them.
Remember that this wiki is a vehicle for you to communicate. Try to use this as a tool to plan strategy and get out your message!
